Remember Mercy: The Third Lamentation

Greetings Beloved,

Grace and peace to you through God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is the third lamentation, which I received on 6/21/07.

“No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl.  Instead he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in may see the light.  Your eye is the lamp of your body.  When your eyes are good, your whole body is full of light.  But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness.” (Luke 11:33-34)

Concerning this the Lord says, “I have shined My light on you, America, but you have hidden My light.  Your eyes are held captive in a prison of darkness and your abundance has made you swift with envy.  As swiftly as you have fled terror and placed your hope and wealth in the hands of men, a Red Man will come in fury and become your terror.  He will terrorize your strong position and your abundant wealth.  You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired great wealth and do not need a thing.’  But you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.  I counsel you to buy gold refined in the fire, so that you may become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.  You adulterous people, do you not know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God?  Anyone who chooses to be a friend with the world becomes an enemy of God.  Or do you think that Scripture says without reason that the Spirit He caused to live in us envies intensely?  But He gives more grace.  That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”  Submit yourselves, then, to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  Come near to God and He will come near to you.  Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double minded.  Grieve, mourn and wail.  Change your laughter into mourning and your joy into gloom.  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will exalt you.”

It says in 1 Peter 1:7, “These have come so that your faith- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire- may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory, and honor when Christ Jesus is revealed.”

Beloved, come, let us look upon the beauty of Jesus Christ!  It is His leadership and faithfulness that will guide us through crisis.  These things must come, but those who put their hope in the LORD will not be put to shame.  Prepare for crisis, but most of all prepare your hearts!  Victory will not be defined by surviving trial, but rather by the purity and sincerity of our love for the LORD and those He has entrusted to us.  May we gaze upon the holiness of Christ Jesus that we might possess the fullness of all that God has portioned for us during this critical hinge and juncture of history.

Blessings,

-jm
