Prayer & Worship in NW Wisconsin: Tent America 2019

Hi Friends,

Last year I wrote and article titled, Responding to God in the Time of God. I wrote about three responses in this article, and in light of the upcoming prayer gathering, Tent America 2019, I would like to highlight the third response once again.

There is a “time” to seek the Lord in a defined, communal manner. Hosea 10 describes this as “breaking up the fallow ground”.

“Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the LordTill He comes and rains righteousness on you.” -Hosea 10:12 (NKJV)

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”- 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)

Let me preface:

Ministering to the Lord through prayer and worship is the essential foundation of the Christian lifestyle. Before any religious pursuit, church program, fellowship, or ministry- seeking the Lord through prayer and worship is the primary way in which we build up our personal relationship with God. On our own, there are a multitude of ways in which we can pursue this relationship with God within the context of our work and family lives, and no two people’s prayer life will look the same.

However, there are times when it is good and right to disrupt our own work and agenda so that we can gather together to seek the Lord corporately for a specific reason. These are the moments we lay “normal life” aside to seek the Lord together.

I believe we are in one of these times. In the U.S., we have been standing at a critical juncture for more than a decade. In context to our 243 year history, a decade is a mere blip on the timeline. The Lord has His own plan and agenda for us that we will fail to see unless we seek Him together. Similar to the previous generation’s spiritual and cultural movements of the 60’s and 70’s, I believe we are in a window of time that will define our country’s spiritual direction for decades to come.

At a time when I believe the Lord intends to completely fulfill the Great Commission in one generation, it is paramount that we commit these days to unified prayer and worship. For those who need these times for confession of sins and healing, the altar is open. For those of us who need to reignite our faith for the greater things of God, this is your time. For those of us who need to see that we are not alone in our pursuit of His kingdom and righteousness, I tell you that on October 17-19, there will be tents across this nation seeking God for a new Great Awakening in our country.

If you would like to join us, a Tent America gathering will be held in St. Croix Falls, WI at the Lions Park. If you are not near us, follow this link for a tent gathering near you.
